Revive Adserver v4.2.1
On May 21, 2019, a new version v4.2.1 of the Revive Adserver software was released for download. This new version fixes some small bugs and also contains one security improvement. The Revive Adserver Hosted edition has been updated as well.
The bug that was fixed in this version involves the “active campaigns” filter in the campaigns overview. In some specific cases, when a campaign had at least one inactive banner it it, the software could incorrectly interpret the entire campaign as inactive. This has now been fixed.
Security
The new version 4.2.1 also has an improvement in the way it works when a user requests a password recovery email.
Each of those mails has a unique link it it, and starting with version 4.2.1 that link uses a more secure token. The link also now expires one hour after it has been generated.
Since the Hosted edition is managed by the same team that maintains the Download edition, we were able to implement the new version of the software ahead of the release of the Download edition, thus ensuring optimal security for users of the Hosted edition.

Revive Adserver Hosted edition is updated to the most recent software version 6.0, which was published initially in October 2025 and went through a few iterations of bug fixes and security improvements in the following months.
