On this date in 2018, on the 5 year anniversary of the Revive Adserver project, we announced that we were considering to create a Hosted edition, to complement the existing Download edition. Today, we’re pleased to see continued and growing interest in the Hosted edition. We’d like to take you along on the journey we took in the past 12 months.

We started on September 13, 2018, by opening a waiting list so that people interested in the Hosted edition could be notified once it was available. Immediately, we saw a promising number of people signing up, more than enough to justify the new project. So we quickly began working on what became this website, a subscription and payment process, and of course the ad server installation itself.

A few weeks later, we invited the first few people on the waiting list to set up their subscription, and we were humbled and honored by the immediate and positive response. Towards the end of 2018, after we ironed out a few small wrinkles, we opened up the subscription process for the general public, and we started to get new subscribers almost every day from that moment onwards.

Now, one year after the initial announcement of the Hosted edition, we’ve very proud to report on its progress:

• To date, over 275 new accounts have been created. Not every one of those is still being used, but the vast majority is still active.
• In addition to a large number of Lite subscriptions at $10 per month, there are also a significant number of accounts with a Plus, Premium or Ultimate pricing plan.
• Several users have actually outgrown the Ultimate plan. We contacted them and made arrangements to switch to a bespoke Elite plan.
• The combined user base of the Hosted edition is forecasted to generate over 100 million ad requests in September 2019. The overall volume continues to grow every month.
